With five years in the Department of Education, Melissa McNab is now a Community Safety & Wellbeing Community Development Facilitator at AFSS. As Chairperson of the Dyslexia Action Group Eyre Peninsula, she helped drive early-years reading reforms that contributed to national curriculum change.Her approach is child-centred, family-focused, trauma-informed, culturally safe and strength-based. Passionate about prevention and early intervention, Melissa works to build safer, healthier communities by empowering children and families to feel supported, protected and able to thrive.
Kate Rice began her journey at AFSS in the Corporate Services team as MSO after spending 15 years at Maxima. She then had the opportunity to fill the space as acting Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive and was promoted to fill the role full time in 2023.
Divya has worked in the Community Services Sector for nearly seven years. She joined AFSS in 2017 as a Support Worker, Residential Services, appointed to Lead Support Worker, Residential Care Services in 2019, and was promoted to Manager in 2022.
Ebony Marshall is the Senior Manager of Therapeutic Services at Aboriginal Family Support Services (AFSS), overseeing multiple therapeutic programs across both regional and metropolitan sites in South Australia. With a strong commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed practice, Ebony leads her teams in delivering holistic support that strengthens families and promotes healing.
A proud Ngarrindjeri woman from Raukkan, Ebony brings deep cultural knowledge and a genuine passion for empowering Aboriginal families. She is dedicated to ensuring children remain safely connected to their families, culture, and communities.
