Aboriginal Family Support Services Ltd  is a leading Aboriginal child protection agency in South Australia, playing a pivotal role in the care, safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal children, young people and their families.

With over 45 years of experience working alongside Aboriginal communities, AFSS is committed to building strong futures for Aboriginal children and young people. Our work is grounded in culture, community leadership and self-determination, with a strong focus on keeping families together wherever it is safe to do so.

AFSS supports Aboriginal families to grow strong, healthy children by building family capacity, strengthening cultural connections and providing culturally responsive services across the child protection, housing, wellbeing, education and community support systems.

Today, AFSS employs over 450 staff across more than 30 locations throughout South Australia, delivering a broad range of programs and services designed to support individuals, families and communities to navigate life’s challenges with strength and dignity.

Our services span the life course – from early childhood and family support, through youth services, housing and residential supports, to elder care – all underpinned by cultural integrity, advocacy and community connection.
